Bitaxe Gamma 601

Stop renting your Bitcoin exposure. Start running your own hardware.

The Bitaxe Gamma 601 is a small ASIC miner that runs on your Wi‑Fi, plugs into a wall outlet, and lets you point real hashpower at the pool — or the block — of your choice. No cloud contract. No “trust me” dashboard.

What you actually get

Real hardware. Nothing to trust but the chip.

You’re not buying a share of a data center or a subscription to somebody else’s hashrate. You’re buying a physical miner that sits on your desk and does one job: convert electricity into SHA‑256 hashes you can watch happen in real time.

Bitaxe Gamma 601 product detail

1.2 TH/s from a BM1370 chip.

The same chip family used in the Antminer S21 Pro, miniaturized for desk-level participation.

AxeOS in your browser.

Open-source dashboard. No app store. No account login. Watch hashrate, temperature, power draw and connection status from your local network.

Why this exists

Bitcoin is only as strong as what you don’t have to trust.

Most people’s “Bitcoin” is a line item on an exchange’s balance sheet, an ETF share, or a number in a custodian’s database. None of that requires you to understand how Bitcoin actually works.

Hold your keys.

Your Bitcoin shouldn’t depend on an exchange staying solvent or a custodian approving your withdrawal.

Verify the rules yourself.

A full node checks every block against the consensus rules you choose to run — it doesn’t take anyone’s word for it.

Contribute real hash.

A Bitaxe puts genuine SHA‑256 work under your control, instead of leaving mining entirely to industrial farms you’ll never see inside.

The Gamma 601 covers the piece most people skip.

It turns Bitcoin from a balance you’re told is real into a system you’ve personally watched run.

See it work

Watch the machine, not the marketing.

There’s no dashboard theater here. If the miner is idle, AxeOS shows it idle. If a share gets rejected, you’ll see that too.

The honest part

This won’t make you rich. Here’s what it will do.

At roughly 1.2 TH/s, the odds of this single device finding a Bitcoin block on its own are vanishingly small. If someone sold you this as a jackpot machine, they weren’t being straight with you.

1. A working miner in the mining network, not a simulation of one.
2. A dashboard that shows Proof of Work happening, share by share.
3. The experience of choosing your pool, firmware and settings, instead of accepting whatever a custodian hands you.

FAQ

Buy with clear eyes.

Am I buying a lottery ticket?

No. A solo Bitaxe can theoretically find a block, but at 1.2 TH/s the odds are extremely low for any single device. Buy it for the hardware, the dashboard and the hands-on understanding of Proof of Work — not for jackpot odds.

Is the Bitaxe a full Bitcoin node?

No. It’s a miner, not a node. Pair it with a node if you also want to verify consensus rules yourself.

Can I join a mining pool?

Yes. Point AxeOS at any compatible Stratum pool, or run it solo.

Is it silent?

It has an active cooling fan, so it isn’t silent. It is built for a desk, not a data center. Confirm actual dB rating before publishing.

Will it protect my wealth?

Indirectly. It won’t move a market. It gives you firsthand understanding of how Proof of Work secures the network your Bitcoin lives on.

Is it profitable?

Almost certainly not on its own, once you count electricity. Pool payouts are small and variable. Treat any payout as a bonus, not income.

Do I need technical experience?

No prior mining experience required — you’ll connect it to Wi‑Fi through a browser, like setting up a smart-home device.

Final step

Stop taking Bitcoin’s word for it.

Hold your keys. Verify the rules. Run your own hash.
